8am: Gently woken up by tiny tiptoes on the bed and a chorus of Happy Birthday. Received kissess and words of endearment from the kids and Daddy. Admired the handiwork of Jojo's lovely card.
9.30am: Dropped the kids off at creche. Jojo announcing to her carers and friends "It's my Mummy's birthday today" and the cherry ear-rings she 'bought' for me. She demanded that I should wear it the whole week.

10.45am: Arrived at the Peninsula Hot Springs Spa. Impressed with set-up at first glance. After filling in forms regarding health state, we got changed to bathe at the hot springs pools. The pools were surrounded by Australian native plants and has a calming ambience. Tried the hot springs with temps of 37-38 degrees Celcius. Only dipped tip of toes to try 40-42 degrees hot springs pool. Too hot. Cooled down in the cool pools later. Thankfully the weather temperature was only in its early 20s, so the pools were bearable. The day got hotter later and temps rose to 38 degrees, but fortunately we were indoors by then.
12.30pm: A leisurely lunch at the spa's cafe, followed by tea and vanilla slice.
2.20pm: Escorted to the waiting area prior to the massage. Very home-y waiting area with Oriental tea on the coffee table.
2.30pm: Led outdoors by our masseurs to a dome-shaped like room. The door opens to a lovely set-up of two massage tables, two comfortable chairs with a Aztec-printed tarpe hanging over in between with Aboriginal music playing in the background. Ambience is 10/10. Our massages lasted for 45 minutes. Very relaxed thereafter.
3.30pm: Left the spa and drove to Mornington town to do a bit of shopping.
5.00pm: Left Mornington for home.
6.00pm: Picked up the kids at creche and had a nice dinner out. Thankfully, the kids were extra good today. Minimal fuss during dinner.
8.30pm: Kids in bed. Thought to myself how perfect the day has been.
