On the spur of the moment, we just decided to bring the kids to the Melbourne Museum. As it was, there was a Buzzing Bee circus show going on at the musuem, a light-hearted 25 minute show to educate kids about bees. It was a wonderful display of acrobatic ability, a bit like a mini Cirque de Soleil.
Both Jojo and Evan were completely enthralled, and for a while there, none of us could get the "Clap-clap, Bzzz-bzzz, Wiggle your bum" bee song out of our heads.
After the show, we checked out the dinosaur display, and the insects and underwater creatures. Even saw Pharlap the famous racing horse.
Must say that the museum is always a great place to go with kids. Must make it a point to go there at least twice a year.
