Well, it's been almost a month and we've survived without having mom around. Before mom left, she stocked our fridge with curries and veggie dishes which helped tremendously. I think the best tip she gave us was to "flick clothes" after taking them out of the washing machine before we hang them up. This way, clothes dry out flat and you only need to iron other stuff like work clothes. Very handy housekeeping tip! ;)A long weekend has just passed and this is a summary of what we did:
Friday night - Church group meeting at friend's house. It's always good to meet up with friends (especially friends with kids of the same age) and let our kids play together. When we got back and put the kids to sleep, Cynthia and I played "Starship Catan", a boardgame we borrowed from a friend.

Saturday - everyone woke up late. Whole family had a lunch picnic in the back-yard, and after the kid's nap-time, we went off to Knox City to do some shopping, and then off to church for the 5pm service. Watched 4 episodes of "Heroes" at night after putting the kids to sleep.
Sunday - whole family went to a PlaySchool concert and absolutely loved it. When we got back, we cleaned the house while the kids had their afternoon nap. Had a quiet evening in after dinner.Monday - whole family went to the Melbourne Aquarium. Met up with another couple whose daugther is a good friend of Jojo. Spent over half the day at the aquarium (the kids loved seeing the sharks and giant stingrays) and then got back home for the kids' nap-times. Had a nap myself while Cynthia made some phone calls. After dinner, Cynthia and I played "Caylus" (another boardgame).
So, a very relaxing, fun-filled weekend for all!
Update: Cynthia put together a great video of the visit to the Aquarium. Enjoy! :)
